§ 01primitives

Blocks and variables.

Notes are built from typed blocks: markdown, code, tables, images, and block types you can add. A block can declare a named value that any block in any note references. Change it once and it updates everywhere, including when an agent patches it with a one-line API call.

Versioning and approval.

Every change has an author and a history. Nothing is deleted; old versions are superseded and kept. Routine changes apply on their own. Anything bigger arrives as a proposal you accept, reject, or edit, and your corrections stick.

Triggers and tasks.

Your agents don't sit in the app waiting. Set a trigger on a schedule or on changes to a folder, and the work lands in a task queue each agent picks up when it's ready. Brio handles its tasks right away. Yours check in on their own time.

Integrations.

Ideas rarely start in a notes app. They start in mail, chat, and a dozen other tools. Bring them in and they arrive as structured notes with context and links, not clippings, so both you and your agents can actually use them later.
